How To Have Fun While On Quarantine
April 27, 2020
Everyone right now is quarantined inside. We’re all bored mainly binge watching something on Netflix, Hulu, or Disney +. Even though you’re stuck inside, that doesn’t mean you cant have fun. I’m here to give you 16 ideas of what you could do being stuck inside and at home.
1.) Call a friend or a family member
Calling someone that you aren’t with right now could make your day ten times better. Even if it’s just to say “hey” or “how are you doing?” That could make you feel better your self by talking to someone new.
2.) Clean your room/Organize your closet
Cleaning your room gets you up and moving around. Throw out old stuff you don’t need anymore or save it and donate it later. Having an organized closet makes it easier to find what you’re gonna wear that day or the next.
Coloring can be fun for all ages. Just grab some crayons, or markers, and a piece of paper. Now you’re ready to draw whatever comes to your mind.
4.) Do a short workout
Doing a workout will keep you in shape while we’re all stuck inside. Put some music on in the background so you can have some fun. You can make it as long or short as you want. Just get up and move around.
5.) Get ready for the day
It may sound crazy but if you wake up and get ready like you normally would, then you’ll most likely be more motivated to get out of bed.
6.) Go on a walk /Sit on your porch
Don’t go to far from home, just around the block so you can get some fresh air. Sitting on your porch keeps you close to home and gets you outside for a little bit. Take out a book or listen too your favorite music.
7.) Go through old year books
Going through your old year books will keep you entertained. Try to come up with a game. Maybe go to whatever your graduating class is and see how many people you can name with out looking at their name. This should keep you busy for a while.
8.) Have a game night with your family
Having a night full of games with your family will keep you busy for a long time. This will be a fun way to catch up on everything and to just have fun with them.
9.) Have a movie night with your family
Having a movie night with your family is super fun and can be comforting. At a time like this, you need to be close with your family.
10.) Learn your ABC’s back words
We learned our ABC’s when we were very young. Now can be your chance to learn them back words. This will take a while. So have fun! Try to say it faster and faster each time.
11.) Look back at old pictures
I’m not sure about you, but I love looking at young pictures of me and my family. You may be surprised on what you find.
12.) Make a summer bucket list
With everything going on right now, all of the fun places are closed. Make a list of things that you want to do with your friends, or even family, so that when they re-open you can have your summer you really want.
13.) Make your own prom
It sucks to say that the seniors wont get the prom they want. But try and make the best of it. Try to have a prom in your own home. Have fun with your family, or whoever you’re living with. Decorate your home however you want. Have fun!
14.) Read a Book
Reading a book is a good way to exercise your brain. Grab a book of your choice and read. It’s a lot more fun doing it on your own rather than your teacher assigning it to you for homework. Trust me.
15.) Try baking a new recipe
Look online at a picture and try to recreate it with stuff you have at home.
16.) Water bottle toss
Grab a few plastic water bottles, empty or full, set them up and grab a bracelet of some sort and throw it. Try to get it to stay on the bottle. If you do then you have succeded in the game.
