New Year, New Opponents for Massillon Football

The most of the schedule for the Massillon football team has been released to the public. The year features some old faces as well as first time opponents.
The season kicks off against a Nevada high school football powerhouse in Bishop Gorman, a school that has one the State Championship 10 years in a row. The game has been rumored to be as Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium but the site and date have yet to be announced.
Week two is a continuation of a long standing rivalry, as it turns to Canton GlenOak to host the match-up.
Week three is a opponent Massillon faced twice last year, with the third match-up in three years occuring at the newly renovated Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.
Week four features a home game for the Tigers that hasn’t occurred since 2004, when Cleveland Benedictine beat Massillon 34-7.
Week five has two of Ohio’s top teams squaring off for the first time in over a decade as Cleveland St. Ignatius comes to Massillon.
Week six features another repeat of the 2019 season as Austintown Fitch visits Massillon for an October 2nd game.
Week seven has yet to be announced.
Week eight is the same as last year for Massillon as they host Barberton on October 16th.
Week nine has yet to be announced.
Week ten features the biggest high school rivalry in the country as the 131st game between Massillon and McKinley takes place at PBTS.
